The doorknob features interesting shaping, with a convex top. It is highly decorated on top and on the bottom. It appears to mount with a screwless shank and spindle. The description of the mount can be seen in the catalogue page pictured here. The base does twist to provide opening and compression of the hole. A standard shaft fits snuggly into it when
