This is another example of a converted jewel: this small insect was born as a pin, but was then transformed into a ring; the head of the ring is therefore ancient, dating back to the early twentieth century, while the stem is modern. The central part of the bee fly's body is decorated with a ruby and a sapphire, while the wings are embellished with two other rubies.
